Day by day Itinerary
Day 1
Rome - Naples - Pompeii - Sorrento
Meet a tour assistant at Rome’s Termini Station at approx 0800HRS (optional private transfer from hotels in Rome from 0700-0745HRS, if centrally located available on request with supplement) and take a high speed train to Naples. Upon arrival, you will be met by an expert local assistant at Naples Train Station, and you will proceed to Pompeii for the semi-private guided tour of the archaeological excavations. This ancient Roman city was destroyed when Vesuvius erupted in 79AD and buried it, preserving it under a sea of volcanic ash for nearly 1,700 years. At the end of the visit transfer to Sorrento, famous for its picturesque old town centre and characteristic fisherman’s village of Marina Grande, one of the most authentic treasures of the city. A local assistant welcomes you at the hotel during the check-in and gives you all the information for Capri excursion and the following transfer and activities. Overnight stay in Sorrento.
Day 2
Sorrento - Capri - Sorrento
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the port, according to the details provided by the assistant. Sail to Capri by traditional boat ‘Gozzo Sorrentino’. Enjoy a boat trip around the island and the possibility to swim in the crystal-clear waters or visit the Blue Grotto (optional entrance, weather permitting). Once landed on the island, you will continue by minibus to discover it and reach the legendary Piazzetta, heart of the island. Enjoy some free time to explore Capri at your own pace. Return to the port to head back to Sorrento for overnight stay. (B)
Day 3
Sorrento - Positano
Breakfast at the hotel. At 1030HRS, transfer from Sorrento to Positano and time at leisure to discover the pearl of the Amalfi coast. Check-in at the hotel, dinner at leisure and overnight stay in Positano. (B)
Day 4
Positano
Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure for exploring the beauties of the area. Possibility to add optional tours to visit the Amalfi coast, one of the most enchanting places in Italy, with its cliffs dropping sheer to the sea, picturesque villages and breathtaking landscapes. Dinner at leisure and overnight stay in Positano. (B)
Day 5
Positano - Naples - Rome
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure in Positano. Direct transfer from Positano to Naples at approx 1500HRS. A local assistant at Naples Train Station will help you to board the high speed train going to Rome. Arrival at Termini Station scheduled at approx 1900HRS. (B)

Note: Semi-private guided tour of the archaeological site of Pompeii, entrance ticket included. Excursion to the Island of Capri includes minibus tour to visit the island, round trip transportation Sorrento Hotel - Pier, daily trip with the boat ‘Gozzo Sorrentino’ around Capri with welcome drink onboard. In case of bad weather, the excursion could be replaced with a guided regular group tour of Capri by ferry. In this case, the visit of the island is guaranteed but the itinerary and the inclusions may undergo small variations. Optional visit to the Blue Grotto with lunch, weather permitting, entrance paid on the spot.
