Day by day Itinerary
Day 1
Milan
Arrival at Milan Airport, meeting our private car driver and transfer to the hotel. Hotel accommodation; rest of the day at disposal for visiting the city. Depending on the arri val time, it is possible to participate in a guided tour of the city centre, which reaches the main symbols of the city, such as the Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, the Teatro alla Scala and the Sforzesco Castle; or you can participate in an internal visit of the Teatro alla Scala and its museum, a unique experience to visit one of the most famous theatre houses in the world. For the sports enthusiasts, a bike tour Tour is also available. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2
Milan - Genoa
After breakfast at the hotel, you will reach Mian Centrale Station to board the train to Genoa. The journey takes about 1 hour 40 minutes. After arriving, hotel accommodation and free time at your disposal for a visit of the city on your own. A one-day hop-on / hop-off tourist bus ticket (with multilingual audio guide) is included, which can also be used for getting around the city, ideal for those who want to get around to discover Genoa on one’s own, the city hiding a multitude of treasures to be discovered. You can stroll through the alleys of the historic centre, admire the marine fauna of the Aquarium, one of the largest in Europe, or discover the local specialties (focaccia, cheese focaccia, fried squid) on an appetizing street food tour. Overnight stay at the hotel. (B)
Day 3
Genoa - La Spezia
After breakfast at the hotel, we board the train to La Spezia. The journey takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. La Spezia is the starting city to explore the famous Cinque Terre, the stretch of coast with 5 fishing villages perched over the sea: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. The two-day Cinque Terre Train Card is inclu ded, which allows access to the National Park area and the use of regional trains that connect the villages and of local buses. Overnight stay at the hotel.(B)
Day 4
La Spezia
Breakfast at the hotel, then free day to continue the visit of the Cinque Terre, participa te in a food tour to taste the typical season specialties of the territory. Sports enthusia sts can opt for a mountain e-bike ride with a guide on one of the many scenic routes of the Gulf of Poets. Overnight stay at hotel. (B)
Day 5
La Spezia - Rome
After breakfast at the hotel, we board the high-speed train to Roma Termini Station. The journey takes about 4 hours. We suggest to take a train departing early in the morning to have a half day at disposal in Rome to discover the city or join an optional activity. We recommend a guided tour of the Vatican Museums, to admire Michelangelo's famous Sistine Chapel and other masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance, or our tour of Imperial Rome, to closely observe the monuments of the Roman Forum, enter the Colosseum and listen to our guide’s evocative narration of the history of ancient Rome and the gladiator fights that took place there. Alternatively, gastronomy enthusiasts can participate in a practical cooking class to learn how to prepare some of the best-known Italian specialties such as pasta, pizza or tiramisu. Accommodation at the hotel and overnight stay. (B)
Day 6
Rome
Breakfast at the hotel, check-out and end of the tour. Possibility to book a private airport transfer, or to continue the journey by joining another itinerary of ours. (B)

▪ In La Spezia and Genoa, Hotel The Poet 4* and Hotel Continental 4* or similar will be used as first option. In case of sold out allotments, a 3* hotel might be used as an alternative for 4* option (Hotel Corallo 3* or similar in La Spezia and Hotel Nuovo Nord 3* or similar in Genoa) according to availability.
▪ For travel dates falling in between two seasons, the package will be quoted separately, please contact us for pricing.
▪ Rates are not valid during fair periods and blackout dates. Availability and prices during these periods are on request.
▪ Rail package is priced with 2024 train ticket rates. Package prices are subject to change and confirmation due to train ticket price increase - this will be confirmed upon booking the train tickets.
▪ Rates are inclusive of local VAT and might be changed in case of VAT increase.
▪ The itinerary of the tour and the days of excursions may be modified for technical reasons. In any case, all visits and excursions mentioned on the itinerary will be guaranteed or replaced by similar ones.
▪ The train tickets included in the rail packages will be booked according to the indicated daily schedule. It is therefore not possible to choose the train times included in the programme at the time of booking. Any request to change the timetable of train tickets will be charged to the customer and will discharge Croatia Times Travel from any liability related to the change in travel times.
▪ Train travel, as well as other forms of transportation, is subject to delays and service disruptions. Croatia Times Travel is not responsible in whole or in part for any delays, delayed departures or arrivals or missed carrier connections or for the loss of any purchased services that cannot be used as the result of delays or service disruptions. Any disruption related to rail transport cannot be attributed to Croatia Times Travel which will not handle any type of complaint or request for reimbursement but will merely provide the carrier's contacts to present any request for compensation.
▪ If train departure is missed the customer will have to purchase new rail tickets. In case the new rail tickets don’t allow arrival on time for the scheduled tours or activity in the arrival city, the customer will not have the right to any reimbursement for the lost activities. Rail package departure: 100% penalty for all the unused services.
▪ Croatia Times Travel is not responsible in case travellers are not at the indicated meeting point without any notice to Tour Manager/Assistant and miss a scheduled transfer, excursion, or a tour.
▪ In many hotels in Italy the Triple Rooms do not exist, they are in fact a Double Room with an additional bed or sofa bed. Their comfort conditions are lower than international standards for Triple Room. Booking the Triple Room implies the acceptance of this fact.
▪ In some cities, Triple Room is never guaranteed. Alternatively 1 Double + 1 Single non-connected Rooms will be assigned, at no additional cost. Please note that minors cannot stay alone in the room.
▪ During the rail tour it is allowed to have 1 suitcase and 1 handbag (for a maximum of 30kg in total) per person. Croatia Times Travel cannot accept any responsibility for loss or theft of luggage. Croatia Times Travel will not accept any responsibility for damage to the luggage caused by normal transportation such as scratches, cuts and similar damages.
▪ Children policy: Maximum 1 child in a Double Room with 2 Adults (sharing bed).
▪ It is highly recommended that clients take comprehensive travel insurance including against cancellation of reserved services.
