Day by day Itinerary

Day 1
Ljubljana

Welcome to Slovenia and its beloved capital! Transfer from Ljubljana Airport to your tour hotel. Meet with your Tour Director and get to know the details of your tour. Free time and overnight in Ljubljana.

Day 2
Ljubljana

Start your day with a visit of colourful capital, Ljubljana. Your guide will take you around and show you the most important attractions, such as Prešeren Square, Triple Bridge, Fish Market, Town Hall and many others. To wrap up the whole Ljubljana story, you will also take funicular up to the castle hill, to learn more about Ljubljana and Slovenia history and of course admire amazing view from the top. Afternoon will be free at leisure, to enjoy city on your own. (B)

Day 3
Ljubljana - Zagreb

Say goodbye to stunning Slovenia and drive to Croatia. Walking tour of its historical capital of Zagreb composed of ‘Gornji Grad’ and ‘Kaptol’, will show medieval urban complex of churches, palaces, museums, galleries and government buildings, popular sightseeing spots of the city. Free afternoon to enjoy and further discover city on your own. (B)

Day 4
Zagreb - Plitvice Lakes - Opatija

One of the most photogenic national parks is waiting for you! Plitvice Lakes National Park will absolutely take your breath away. With its exceptional natural beauty, this area has always attracted nature lovers, and already on 08 April 1949, it was proclaimed Croatia’s first national park. A UNESCO World Heritage Site is considered one of the most spectacular natural phenomena with 16 emerald-turquoise lakes that are connected to each other by a fabulous system of waterfalls. After lunch, the scenic road will take you to blue Adriatic coastline. You will overnight in Opatija, “dame” of coastal Croatia that emerged as a holiday resort for elite already in the 19th century hosting eminent guests such as Emperor Franc Josef I, Empress Maria Anna and many others. Day 5
Opatija - Rovinj - Poreč - Opatija

Istria is the largest peninsula in the Adriatic. The peninsula is located at the head of the Adriatic between the Gulf of Trieste and Kvarner Bay, and it is shared by three countries: Croatia, Slovenia and Italy. Rovinj is one of the most popular and most developed tourist resorts in Croatia. The old town is built on the island, and it is one of the most picturesque and romantic towns in the Mediterranean. To feel the true Istrian spirit, visit one of Istrian agritourism farms for local tasting. Continue to Poreč, one of most popular holiday destinations in Istria. A stroll through town and its narrow streets, will mesmerise you. In the afternoon, return to the hotel in Opatija and enjoy free time by the sea. (B, T)

Day 6
Opatija - Predjama - Postojna - Bohinj/Bled

Saying goodbye to seaside, your adventure will continue to the underworld, more exactly Karst underworld. Your first stop is Predjama, amazing Renaissance fortress, built within a cave, not at all the kind of castle you are familiar with. Even Guinness book of records listed it biggest castle ever built inside a rock. It will definitely leave you speechless. Enter the queen of caves, Postojna, the only cave in the world with a train in it. The cave offers a unique experience of the underworld. Lunch and in the afternoon continue to Julian Alps region and enjoy your free time in pristine nature of Bohinj or Bled. (B, L)

Day 7
Bohinj/Bled - Bled - Bohinj - Bohinj/Bled

Time for an Alpine fairy tale! With immense natural beauty, Bled, together with its surroundings and magnificent lake with an island, ranks among the most beautiful alpine resorts of the world. Amazing castle on the cliff is offering stunning views of the region, while an island in the middle of the lake can be visited with traditional boat called ‘Pletna’. After lunch, continue to the largest alpine lake in Slovenia, Lake Bohinj. You will take a funicular to Mt Vogel top, where your breath will be taken away by unforgettable views of Triglav National Park. Some free time to admire its natural beauty and relax on the lake shore. In the evening join the group for a Farewell Dinner where you will talk about most memorable moments of the tour and plan for new ones. Overnight in Bohinj or Bled. (B, L, D)

Day 8
Bohinj/Bled - Ljubljana

Breakfast at the hotel and free time until departure transfer to Ljubljana Airport. (B)
