Multi Adventure Cruise Southern Dalmatia 2024

Trogir - Vis - Hvar - Pakleni Islands - Stari Grad - Bol - Jelsa - Vrboska - Jelsa - Postira - Split - Šolta - Trogir

This Multi Adventure Cruise in South Dalmatia is particularly well suited for families. It combines the popular swimming cruise concept with a variety of activities. Spend a week on a charming small ship that takes you from island to island, sparing you the hassle of packing suitcases and searching for accommodation. Along with nights spent in port, we also spend some nights in quiet bays. Decide each day anew whether you would like to go for a bike or a hike, go rafting or rather stroll leisurely through the unique small harbour towns of the Adriatic - or simply spend the day relaxing onboard. This is indeed a pleasant way of exploring Southern Dalmatia, possibly Croatia’s most attractive coastal region. A well informed tour guide who can always point out various possibilities of creating an active or a relaxed holiday accompanies you. Local stories and legends, and the country’s cultural treasures - most of which are protected by UNESCO World Heritage programme - bring Croatia’s eventful history to life. The highlight of the Multi Adventure Cruise is the opportunity to jump directly off the ship into the sea for a swim.

Day by day Itinerary

Day 1
Trogir - Vis

Individual arrival to Trogir, which is approx 6km away from Split Airport. After embarkation on the small ship at approx 1430HRS, the first cruise starts at approx 1500HRS from Trogir to the Island of Vis. On the way we have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim from the boat. The first night is spent on the Island of Vis.

Day 2
Vis - Hvar

In the morning we can take part on an adventurous bike tour which takes us past the old military tunnels that crisscross the island, on our way to the Fortress of St George which played a significant role in the seafaring history of the island. Once back at the boat we cruise towards the Island of Hvar and find a beautiful bay to anchor in for a long swimming break and for a peaceful night under the stars.

Cycle route approx 10km

Day 3
Hvar - Pakleni Islands - Stari Grad

We start with a morning cruise to the capital of the island of Hvar, Hvar Town. After arrival we take a tour across the large Renaissance Square, surrounded by the cathedral and many late Gothic palaces. We are able to hike to the Spanish Fortress that towers above the town. From here we have a fabulous view onto the town and the surrounding islands. With lunch onboard, we cast off from Hvar and anchor on the Pakleni Islands for a lengthy swim stop. In the afternoon we lift the anchor and cruise to the town of Stari Grad, also on the Island of Hvar, where we will spend the night.

Day 4
Stari Grad - Bol - Jelsa - Vrboska - Jelsa

In the morning we cruise to the famous Zlatni Rat beach (Golden Horn) near Bol on the Island of Brač, where the ship lowers its anchor for the morning. Here we can choose between a variety of activities both in the water and on land (not included in the cruise price) or just enjoy the summer morning swimming in the sea and chilling on deck. During lunch onboard, we cruise to the town of Jelsa on the Island of Hvar where we can enjoy a bike tour along the beautiful seafront promenade through Vrboska, past the UNESCO Stari Grad Plains. Decide for yourself if you wish to do a longer or shorter version of the cycle tour. Enjoy the evening onboard with a Captain’s Dinner and celebrate a successful day.

Cycle route approx 13km or 25km

Day 5
Jelsa - Lovrečina - Postira

The morning is spent onboard, enjoying a longer cruise to Lovrečina Bay on the Island of Brač. Once we have arrived, travellers big and small are invited to a game of “Beach Olympics” on the beach. In the afternoon, a 1.5 hour hike along the coast brings us to Postira. Here the sunset can be enjoyed from one of the many cafes or bars.

Walking route approx 1.5 hours

Day 6
Postira - Split

During breakfast, the boat brings us to the city of Split, where we have the choice to either take a bus transfer to go rafting through the Cetina Canyon (not included in the cruise price) or to explore the wonderful Marjan Forest Park in Split on foot, along with an extended visit to the beach for a swim and games. In the afternoon we can explore the bustling city of Split. We enjoy an exciting tour through the UNESCO World Heritage old town, built adjoining the walls of the Diocletian Palace. The night is spent in Split.

Day 7
Split - Šolta - Trogir

In the first half of the day we can cycle on the Island of Šolta to Goran, a local beekeeper to participate in an interactive workshop on bees, their purpose, products and the life of a beekeeper. Goran is an expert in capturing the fascination of young and old with the enthusiasm he has for the bees which he keeps. We return to Rogač where the boat awaits. Lunch will be enjoyed onboard during the last crossing by boat for the week, as the captain charters his course back to Trogir. Along the way the anchor is dropped for an enjoyable dip in the Adriatic directly from the boat. In the afternoon we enjoy Trogir by taking a walk through the UNESCO protected old town. Traditionally the last evening before disembarkation is spent cheerfully with guests, crew and guides.

Disclaimer
Due to specific mooring conditions and requirements in some Croatian Ports, multiple ships are moored side by side. This makes it necessary to cross from one ship to the other where there are gaps in between each ship. Special care must be taken at all times when crossing between the ships, and guests do this at their own risk. Crew assistance will be given to those needing and requesting it. View from cabin windows and balconies may be obstructed when moored in port and alongside other ships. Cruises are not recommended for those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.

Itinerary Changes
Cruise Operator reserves the right to make changes to the planned itinerary due to changing wind and weather conditions as well as organisational requirements. This cruise might be operated in reverse order.

Fitness Requirements
The cycle tours offered here take place under the expert guidance of your tour guide, who is familiar with the terrain. The bicycle tours do not require particular physical fitness. The walks and short hikes follow good paths, which are in part even asphalted and are also not at all demanding. Should some activities require a greater level of fitness, your tour guide will point this out to you beforehand.

Group Riding Pace
On regular cycling tours, the cyclists on regular bicycles determine the pace. We ask guests who have reserved an e-bike to be mindful of this and to acknowledge that the regular cyclists need time to rest and take longer to climb the hills. We thank you for your understanding.

Children
Please note that the minimum height for a rental e-bike is 1.20m for hybrid bikes and 1.50m for e-bikes. It is mandatory for all participants on tours to wear a bicycle helmet.

Catering
The onboard chef is a member of the crew and prepares the breakfast and one or two warm meals a day. The catering consists of 2 x Full Board and 5 x Half Board. Catering starts with the dinner on the arrival day and ends with the breakfast on the departure day.
