Day by day Itinerary

Day 1
Dubrovnik

Individual arrival to Dubrovnik. Check-in on board starts between 1400HRS and 1430HRS in Gruž Port. At approx 1630HRS, a guided tour through Dubrovnik is offered, where you will hear some interesting details of the town’s history and visit the most impressive sites. The boat will spend the night in Gruž Port providing you with an opportunity to experience Dubrovnik’s nightlife.

Day 2
Dubrovnik - Šipan - Pomena - Mljet NP - Pomena

In the morning cross over to the nearby Island of Šipan. Šipan is the largest of the Elaphiti Islands, yet still humble in size. A great place for your first bike tour and to get used to riding in a group. After your first tour, board the boat and enjoy a cruise to the green Island of Mljet. Green because 70% of its landmass is covered by woodland making it the most forested island in the Mediterranean region. Homer mentioned this lovely island in his epic poem “Odyssey”. He made it a home for the Nymph Calypso and the legendary Greek king Odysseus, who could not resist Calypso and stayed on Mljet for seven years. Arrive in the harbour of Pomena and enjoy a round tour on a bike through the Mljet National Park. The night is spent in the harbour of Pomena.

Day 3
Pomena - Lastovo - Korčula

In the morning your ship takes you to the Island of Lastovo. The island is one of the smaller inhabited islands in the Adriatic Sea. The Emperor Augustus appreciated the mild climate, and in Roman times it was even named “Augusta Insula” after him. Today’s cycle tour takes you across this beautiful island. The gold-coloured white wine “Maraština”, known even beyond Croatia’s borders, is grown here. Back at the boat it’s time to cast off! A crossing takes you over to the Island of Korčula, regarded as one of the most beautiful islands in Dalmatia. The picturesque town of Korčula with its fishbone alleyways competes with Venice for the honour of being the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. It is here that you will spend the night and enjoy a guided tour packed with fascinating anecdotes concerning the history of the town and the island.

Day 4
Korčula - Vela Luka

Today’s cycle tour leads you across the charming Island of Korčula. A mild Mediterranean climate and a broad variety of different landscapes accompany you on the tour today. Take your time and remember to take a break to enjoy the view over the deep blue sea and neighbouring islands. Dinner is served on board to replenish your strength after an active day. Overnight stay in the sheltered bay of Vela Luka.

Day 5
Vela Luka - Hvar - Stari Grad

The day starts with a relaxing cruise to Hvar Town on Hvar Island. Make use of the time before the cycle tour starts and go for a little stroll through the town. Standing on the magnificent Renaissance Square you can enjoy a view up to the Spanish Fortress towering high above the town. Today's bike tour takes you from the town of Hvar through small villages and lavender fields to Stari Grad on the opposite side of the island. The descent to Stari Grad offers breathtaking views and you board the boat for lunch. The afternoon can be used to explore the artistic seaside town and to visit the local galleries or museums. The night is spent in Stari Grad.

Day 6
Stari Grad - Jelsa - Stari Grad - Milna

In the morning start a scenic bike tour from Stari Grad to the harbour of Jelsa and back. Jelsa is the perfect place for some ice cream and a coffee and on the way back to the boat, pass through the picturesque town of Vrboska and cycle through the ancient Greek plains which are now a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site. On arrival in Stari Grad, board the boat for lunch and cruise to the Island of Brač. The island is famous for its radiant, precious limestone that was, among others, used for the White House in Washington and in the construction of the German Reichstag building in Berlin. During the cruise, possibility of a refreshing swim stop directly from the boat before arriving in the harbour town of Milna. You will spend the afternoon and evening here.

Day 7
Milna - Postira - Split

Today’s bike tour leads you along the northern coastline of Brač from Milna to Postira with beautiful views across the Dalmatian islands and across to the mainland. Then, for the last time in an eventful week, enjoy the cruise to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Split. A guided city tour offers you the chance to see inside the former Palace of Emperor Diocletian and to learn about its transformation into the city which it has become. A cheerful evening meal on board the boat gives you time to celebrate the success of the week with fellow travellers and tour guides.

Day 8
Split

After breakfast disembarkation by 0900HRS and individual trip home or extended stay in Croatia.

Captain reserves the right to change the route in case of bad weather conditions, crowding or other circumstances out of his control. Departures are guaranteed for minimum 14 participants. Cruise Operator reserves the right to cancel or change the ship name if necessary. Guests are obliged to follow ship rules (found in written form onboard). Guests are not permitted to bring beverages onboard the vessel that have been purchased onshore. All drinks must be purchased onboard. In the event of inappropriate behaviour the Cruise Operator and Captain reserves the right to disembark guests. Most arrival times in port are in the late afternoon.

Disclaimer
Due to specific mooring conditions and requirements in some Croatian Ports, multiple ships are moored side by side. This makes it necessary to cross from one ship to the other where there are gaps in between each ship. Special care must be taken at all times when crossing between the ships, and guests do this at their own risk. Crew assistance will be given to those needing and requesting it. View from cabin windows and balconies may be obstructed when moored in port and alongside other ships. Cruises are not recommended for those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.

Itinerary changes
Cruise operator reserves the right to make changes to the planned itinerary due to changing wind and weather conditions as well as organisational requirements.

Helmet Requirements
Helmets are mandatory on your bike tour. It is advised to bring your own, well fitted, helmet with you as the rental helmet numbers are limited (reservation required at time of booking).

Fitness Requirements Level 2-3
The cycle tours require an advanced level of fitness. The tours will take you up to a height of 200-500m above sea level. The daily tours up to 60km will take you through hilly and mountainous terrain and will be completed without any time constraints. Participants will also need to master long and steep climbs. You are free to set aside a half or full day to swim or spend time on board the boat, instead of taking a planned cycle tour.

Children
Only children with a good physical condition and previous bicycle tour experience and a minimum age of 10 are able to master the cycle tours with their own strength. Please note that the minimum height for a rental hybrid bike is 1.20m and for a rental e-bike 1.50m. It is mandatory for all participants on tours to wear a bicycle helmet. When travelling with children, we recommend Multi-Adventure cruises in Greece and Croatia which are specifically curated for families and offer family-friendly pricing.

Accommodation - Premium Small Ship MS ROMANTICA (all cabins with shower/toilet)
At 32m x 7.6m the elegant two mast motor yacht Romantica was launched in 2007 and combines seafaring romanticism with modern day amenities. Above all, the captain is proud of keeping his boat looking elegant and smart. Both the Salon and outer decks have upscale facilities and have been furnished with great attention to detail. The 16 air-conditioned guest cabins are spacious and include a shower and toilet.

Catering
The on board chef is a member of the crew and prepares the breakfast and one or two warm meals a day. The catering consists of 2 x full board and 5 x half board. It starts with the dinner on the arrival day and ends with the breakfast on the departure day.

Due to international audience cruises are conducted bilingually, in English and German.
