Active & Cappuccino Cruise Central & Southern Dalmatia 2025

Trogir - Čiovo - Split - Omiš - Cetina River Canyon - Omiš - Makarska Riviera - Kućište - Orebić - Kućište - Mljet NP - Korčula - Račišće - Šćedro - Hvar - Stari Grad - Jelsa - Stari Grad - Bol - Trogir

Featuring a perfect blend of swimming, sunbathing, short bike tours, sightseeing tours, guided walks and easy hikes, Active & Cappuccino Cruises could be best described as light active with a pinch of culture. A highlight of the tour is the Cetina River Canyon rafting adventure. Accompanied by a guide, this cruise is aimed at those who don’t just want to spend their entire time on the Sun Deck and in the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic, but equally don’t want to be forced to go on daily bike tours of 40-50km, or spend hours on hikes. Of course, there will be enough time left over to sit around, or relax over a cappuccino. Active & Cappuccino Cruise is also suitable for families with children, and there are also children’s bikes available for hire. Based on the motto "You can do it all, or just relax”, you can choose which activities you want to participate in, or if you prefer, spend time relaxing on the ship and enjoying your free time.

Day by day Itinerary

Day 1
Trogir - Čiovo - Split

Embarkation at Trogir Port between 1300HRS and 1400HRS. Your bicycles will be waiting for you in front of the boat. After having chosen the right bike for you, the staff will proceed with loading the bicycles on board. There follows a meet and greet including a welcome drink with your representative and you will have a chance to get to know the crew and your fellow passengers. Set sail and head towards one of the bays at the Island of Čiovo, where you drop anchor to enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea for the first time. After a long swimming break, continue your journey to Split, Croatia’s second largest city and the capital of Dalmatia. The 1700 year old city was built around the palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian; today it is a World Heritage site protected by the UNESCO. Take a walk through the forest park Marjan, located on the homonymous mountain (178 m). Today it is a nature reserve, boasting more than 400 different protected plants. Overnight stay in the port of Split with its lively atmosphere of a Mediterranean metropolis.

Note: Starting in 2025, a pier in the Port of Split will undergo a complete reconstruction (major construction site), which will reduce the number of available berths. In exceptional cases, this may result in Split not being called, with alternative stops such as Omiš, Milna (Brač Island), or Rogač (Šolta Island) being used instead.

Day 2
Split - Krilo Jesenice (Omiš) - Cetina River Canyon - Krilo Jesenice (Omiš) - Makarska Riviera

Today's first destination is Krilo Jesenice, about nine kilometres from the small town of Omiš at the mouth of the Cetina River. A new harbour is being built in Omiš, so mooring there will not be possible again until 2025. Therefore, a transfer will be organised from Krilo Jesenice to the starting point of the rafting tour near Omiš. At the starting point you not only receive your equipment (helmet and life jacket), but also a thorough briefing. The inflatable boats for eight to ten people are of course steered by experienced skippers. The rafting tour takes about two and a half hours downstream, over easy rapids, past waterfalls and through unique nature with rocks up to 180m high. There will be two breaks along the way to have an energy snack, refresh ourselves in the water of the river or possibly dare a jump from a 5m high rock. Those who don't want to take part in rafting will have plenty of opportunity to stroll through the small town of Omiš or linger in one of the cafés in the Old Town. Transfer back to the ship and lunch onboard as you set course for the Makarska Riviera. After a bathing break on the Makarska Riviera, which is famous for its wonderful fine-pebble beaches and interrupted by short rocky stretches like a string of pearls, moor in Brela, Baška Voda or Makarska. Opportunity for dinner in one of the numerous restaurants and overnight stay. (B, L)

Day 3
Makarska Riviera - Kućište - Orebić - Kućište

Today you will continue your cruise south. Your destination is the Pelješac Peninsula, which is the second largest peninsula in Croatia and is well-known for its excellent wines, Postup and Dingač. You will anchor in Kućište, from where you will start your bike tour to Orebić, a picturesque town located at the foot of the Sveti Ilija Mountain (961m). After a tour through the town, you will take a walk to the Franciscan Convent, dating back to the 16th Century (approx 2km), located 152 metres above sea level. From here you can enjoy panoramic views over the sea and the opposite Island of Korčula. Visit one of Orebič’s cosy restaurants for lunch. Afterwards you are invited to enjoy a wine tasting and to assure yourself of the quality of the wines produced in this area. Return by bike to Kućište (approx 5km), where you will have dinner onboard. Overnight stay in Kućište. (B, T, D)

Cycle route approx 7km

Day 4
Kućište - Mljet - Korčula

After breakfast, leave the Pelješac Peninsula and continue your cruise to the Island of Mljet. Part of the island was declared a national park; two saltwater lakes are connected only by a narrow channel to the sea. In the larger of the two there is a small island with a former monastery. Moor in Pomena or Polače. Enjoy a guided walk through the amazing National Park, which also includes a boat trip across the big lake to the monastery island. It is recommended that you bring your bathing suit, since the temperature of the saltwater lakes is always 2°C above the temperature of the sea. Afterwards you will have lunch onboard, before you set off for the Island of Korčula. Korčula, the homonymous capital of the island, has one of the most beautiful old towns in Dalmatia, and because of its fortress-like appearance it is often referred to as ‘Little Dubrovnik’. Overnight stay in the birthplace of the famous sailor and explorer Marco Polo. Enjoy dinner in one of the lovely island restaurants. (B, L)

Day 5
Korčula - Račišće - Šćedro - Hvar

After breakfast, unload the bikes and start your ride to the small place of Račišce (approx 13km). Today’s tour will take you alongside the sea and offers stunning views of the surroundings. In Račišce, you will be invited for a cappuccino before we get back onboard and set off for the Island of Hvar. On our way, lunch will be served, before anchoring in a secluded bay of the small Island of Šćedro, where you will enjoy a break for swimming and sunbathing. Afterwards we will continue our cruise, heading to Hvar, the capital of the homonymous island. After a guided walk through the city, you will take a 20-minute climb to the Španjola Fortress. From here, you can enjoy magnificent views over the Old Town of Hvar and the offshore Pakleni Islands. After this great experience, set off for a nearby bay, where you will spend the night. (B, L)

Cycle route approx 13km

Day 6
Hvar - Stari Grad - Jelsa - Stari Grad - Bol

Today you will sail around the north-western tip of the Island of Hvar, heading to Stari Grad, the oldest settlement on the island. Stari Grad (translates to ‘old town’), once called “Pharos”, used to be the capital of the island. Even today well-preserved monuments bear witness of the splendour of times past, like the Palace of Hektorović. Stari Grad has, however, kept its role as the centre of viticulture. Your today’s bike tour will lead you to Jelsa, a picturesque place, located at approx 22km from Stari Grad. After a break, you will ride all the way back to Stari Grad, where you will get back onboard. Afterwards, set off for a nearby bay to have lunch and to enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear sea, before you continue your cruise to the Island of Brač. You will visit the town of Bol, known for the most famous beach in Croatia, Zlatni Rat (the ‘Golden Horn’), which extends approx 300m into the sea. It is a natural phenomenon, because the tip of the beach is constantly changing its direction with the ocean currents. Take the opportunity to enjoy dinner in one of the cosy restaurants in Bol. Overnight stay in the small port of Bol. (B, L)

Cycle route approx 22km

Day 7
Bol - Trogir

After breakfast, you will start your bike tour (approx 14km). Passing the Dominican Monastery, you will reach the village of Murvica. Make a short break before returning to Bol, where you will go for a swim at the famous Zlatni Rat Beach. Afterwards you will get back onboard to set off for a nearby bay, where you will have lunch and plenty of time for swimming and sunbathing. In the afternoon you will return to Trogir, the starting point of your cruise. With its amazing Old Town, protected by UNESCO, Trogir is also called ‘the Museum City’. Enjoy the experience of a guided walking tour through the winding streets and discover impressive walls, towers, churches, frescoes, and vaults. Do not miss out on looking into the unique old yards. Take the opportunity to enjoy dinner in one of the numerous restaurants in Trogir. Overnight stay in the port of Trogir. (B, L)
