Its name comes from the Turkish word meaning “Powerful Fortress”. You will find Kalambaka in Greece’s northern region. The town is located on the foot hills of the Meteora Peaks. The main reason for tourist visiting here is to go and see the monasteries of Meteora. However, there is more to do.
