Day by day Itinerary

Day 1

You will be met and transferred to your hotel. There’s time to relax before meeting your fellow travellers and Tour Director for a Welcome Dinner. (D)

Day 2

Built on seven hills and both banks of the Vltava River, Prague is one of the most alluring cities in Europe. Your city tour starts with panoramic drive to see famous Wenceslas Square, Strahov Stadium and Castle Square. On a walking tour, visit the Royal Castle of Hradcany with the Cathedral of St Vitus, the Old Royal Palace, St George's Basilica and the Golden Lane with the Daliborka Tower. Cross the Charles Bridge and walk through the old quarter of Prague, viewing the Jewish Ghetto, the Town Hall and the world-famous Astronomical Clock. The rest of the day is free. Perhaps attend an optional cultural performance, shop, or just relax. (B)

Day 3
Prague - Vienna

Head to Vienna, the "City of Waltz." Your time is free to begin exploring Austria’s lovely capital or perhaps savour a Viennese pastry or two. (B)

Day 4

On a morning sightseeing tour, visit Hofburg Palace, once the centre of the Habsburg monarchy, see Belvedere Palace, Prater Amusement Park, the UN Buildings, St Stephen's Cathedral and other remnants of the city’s imperial history. The afternoon is at leisure. Tonight, gather for a dinner in a local restaurant. (B, D)

Day 5
Vienna - Budapest

Today, journey to Budapest. The afternoon is free to explore the “Paris of the East”, shop along the Vaci Utca, nibble a delicious slice of Dobosz cake, sip an excellent Hungarian wine, or perhaps join one of the optional excursions available. (B)

Day 6

In 1873, the twin cities of Buda and Pest joined with ancient Obuda to form a new, unified city, Budapest. Charming and beautiful, the city was declared a World Heritage site in 1987. Your morning sightseeing tour includes views of all the main attractions, Parliament, Royal Palace and the Castle Hill area, Fisherman's Bastion, Matthias Church, Heroes' Square, and Gellert Hill with its Citadel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this exciting city on your own. Tonight, enjoy dinner with entertainment in a typical Csarda restaurant. (B, D)

Day 7
Budapest - Zagreb

Journey along the banks of the Lake Balaton and cross the border to continue to Zagreb. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Croatian capital will take you through the historic Upper Town. See St Mark’s Church, the Cathedral, Parliament, and the Government Palace. Diner in your hotel. (B, D)

Day 8
Zagreb - Plitvice Lakes - Split

Head south for a visit to magnificent Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder with its 16 terraced lakes surrounded by forested mountains and lush vegetation. A walking tour takes you around several of the lower lakes. On to Split and the port to embark on your small ship cruise. Later, gather with your fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception, followed by dinner onboard. (B, D)

Day 9
Split - Bol - Stari Grad

Morning guided walking tour of Split shows us the historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. See the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle and the Cathedral. Set sail towards Bol, a small town on Brač Island, for a swim at the Golden Horn. Enjoy the 530m, golden pebble beach, said to be the best in Croatia. It is unique in that it changes shape and position depending on the winds. Afterwards head to Hvar, one of the most popular islands on the Adriatic and a meeting point for the international jet set. The “Croatian Madeira” is the longest island stretching along the shores of Croatia. Spend evening and night in Stari Grad, one of the oldest towns in Europe. (B, L)

Day 10
Stari Grad - Hvar - Vis

Quick cruise towards the town of Hvar for a sightseeing tour featuring the first public theatre in Europe, older than Shakespeare’s Theatre in the United Kingdom, the Franciscan Monastery and many more historical sights. Cruise towards Island of Vis and the town of the same name. The Antique Issa was founded about 397BC. Our tour of Vis features the town’s waterfront. Evening is at leisure. (B, L)

Day 11
Vis - Vela Luka

After breakfast set sail for Korčula Island, thought to be the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. Our port of call for the day is town of Vela Luka, dating back to prehistoric times. Our tour features a visit to an olive oil factory, Barilo Ethno Museum and local winery to taste wine and cheese. Return to your ship, for evening at leisure. (B, L)

Day 12
Vela Luka - Korčula

There will be some time for swimming before we continue our cruise, heading for Korčula Town. We will take a walking tour through its narrow, cobbled streets and visit the majestic Gothic Baroque Cathedral of St Mark. Your evening is free to discover the town and enjoy dinner on your own at one of many local restaurants. (B, L)

Day 13
Korčula - Mljet

Today we set sail for the Island of Mljet and Mljet National Park, which encompasses five types of forests, many species of birds, and two deep lakes, Big Lake and Small Lake. This lovely island was supposedly a favourite holiday spot for the Greek hero Ulysses. Captain’s Dinner with live entertainment onboard our ship tonight. (B, L, D)

Day 14
Mljet - Dubrovnik

In the morning cruise to The Pearl of the Adriatic, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While in Dubrovnik, take a walking tour of the Old Town and visit the Rector’s Palace and Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy. Remainder of the day is free, perhaps discover this lovely city on your own. (B, L)

Day 15

Breakfast and disembarkation by 0900HRS. You will be transferred to Dubrovnik Airport. (B)

Captain reserves the right to change the route in case of bad weather conditions, crowding or other circumstances out of his control. Departures are guaranteed for minimum 10 participants. Cruise Operator reserves the right to cancel or change the ship name if necessary. Guests are obliged to follow ship rules (found in written form onboard). Guests are not permitted to bring beverages onboard the vessel that have been purchased onshore. All drinks must be purchased onboard. In the event of inappropriate behaviour the Cruise Operator and Captain reserves the right to disembark guests. Most arrival times in port are in the late afternoon.

Port taxes, entrance fees, sightseeing and excursions (if not included in the package) must be paid in local currency upon arrival. EUR currency quoted is converted on the spot to the equivalent in Croatian Kuna.

Due to specific mooring conditions and requirements in some Croatian Ports, ships are moored side by side. This makes it necessary to cross from one ship to the other where there are gaps in between each ship. Special care must be taken at all times when crossing between the vessels and guests do this at their own risk. Crew assistance will be given to those needing and requesting it. Cruises are not recommended for those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.
