Upon your evening arrival at Hvar, a local guide will walk you through the town introducing you to the history, culture and way of life of the island and explain how lavender was traditionally farmed here for centuries. You will have an evening in Hvar free to explore and dine in one of the numerous family-owned restaurants. Overnight in Hvar. (B, L)

Day 7
Makarska - Pučišća - Split

After breakfast, we will cruise across Brač Channel towards Pučišća, the largest settlement on the Island of Brač. Sitting inside a deep fjord-like inlet, Pučišća boasts authentic Mediterranean architecture whose shiny white stone facades rise uphill to form a stunning amphitheatre, emanating a unique rustic ambiance. Pučišća is renowned for its quarries, whose stone was used to build limestone columns of the White House in Washington DC, Vienna Parliament and many other well-known buildings around the world. This small town is also home to the ancient stonemasonry school where students carve Brač limestone using old traditional and unconventional tools. After a relaxed stroll around Pučišća, we will have lunch onboard while cruising to Split, our first and last stop on this cruise. Split is the second largest urban centre in Croatia and the seat of the Split Dalmatia County. Over 1,700 years old, Split abounds with cultural and historical sights, the most important being the famous Diocletian Palace, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites List since 1979. Our guide will do a city tour, walking us through the historical palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Overnight in Split. (B, L)
