The guided hiking on this cruise in Dalmatia starts on Hvar Island and ends on Brač Island, both stunning places. During your cruise, you will explore amazing coastlines, towns and old villages. You will hike the historic islands and explore Mljet National Park, climb some high peaks and relax on the beaches, eat delicious local food and try robust, local wines. Croatia is incredibly beautiful, full of rich history, Mediterranean vegetation and mild climate. Without a doubt, one of the finest ways of exploring it is on foot.

Day by day Itinerary

Day 1
Split - Supetar

Check-in and departure at 1300HRS and lunch during the journey to island of Brač and time to meet fellow passengers and the crew. Upon arrival in Supetar, hiking tour for warming up! Supetar is the island’s capital and It’s the only city on the island, developing fast in the past few years. It’s the administrative, transportation, and cultural center of the island Brač. And much more! Overnight in Supetar. (L)

Day 2
Supetar - Makarska - Biokovo - Makarska

Breakfast during sail from Supetar to Makarska with panoramic cruise at the foot of the Biokovo Mountain - the largest, the hardest and the most beautiful mountain in Dalmatia. After arrival to Makarska, transfer to the mountain hut 'Pod Vošcem' where our hiking tour starts to the highest peak of Biokovo, and the second highest peak in Croatia - Sveti Jure (1,762m). In the close vicinity of the hut is the peak Vošac (1,422m) with beautiful and unforgettable views on the whole Makarska Riviera, Omiš, Split and also the islands of Brač, Hvar, Korčula, Lastovo and Pelješac Peninsula. We continue further uphill, then downhill and so on to the mountain hut. There is a telecommunication tower in the vicinity as well as the peak Sveti Jure, but the climb to the top is secured by rope. After relaxing and enjoying the view to the mainland, the sea and the islands, we go the same way back to the mountain hut and further with transfer back to Makarska. (B, D)

Day 3
Makarska - Pomena - Mljet - Pomena

Morning sail towards the lush green Island of Mljet. Breakfast during cruise and enjoy the views of Hvar Island, Pelješac Peninsula and Korčula Island. Arrival to Pomena, lunch onboard and afternoon walking tour of Mljet National Park, the oldest National Park on the Mediterranean. Entrance fee to be paid on the spot approx EUR17 per person. The main reason why Mljet is proclaimed National Park is definitely its two connected saltwater lakes, rich in flora and a unique appearance of the coast, cliffs, rocks and numerous islets. Hike tour to the peak Montokuc (235m) with the wonderful view of the whole Mljet archipelago and neighbouring islands. On the way back, refresh in saltwater lakes. Possibility of an optional Captain's Dinner onboard. Overnight in Pomena. (B, L)

Day 4
Pomena - Orebić - Ruskovići - Sveti Ilija - Orebić - Korčula

Before breakfast, cruise towards Pelješac Peninsula with the dominant peak of Sveti Ilija (960m). Start of hiking tour from Orebić. Easy climbing to the village of Ruskovići and then further by a well-built and well-kept hiking path. The trail goes through a pine forest, but also some parts are very steep, so caution is necessary. After approx 3 hours of hiking we reach the peak, which is one of the widest and the most beautiful viewpoints on Croatian mountains. Descend to Orebić taking less steep path with a wonderful view of Korčula archipelago. Arrival to Orebić, boarding the ship and short cruise to Korčula Town. Dinner onboard and overnight. (B, D)

Day 5
Korčula - Vela Luka - Hum - Vela Špilja - Vela Luka

After spending night in Marco Polo's town, cruise to the other side of the island - to Vela Luka. Walking tour to the hinterland, first to the Hum Hill (376m). Climbing the trail, it gradually opens your eyes to Vela Luka bay and then to the sea and neighbouring islands, even to the coast of Italy. During the Austria-Hungarian governance the fort was built here. After Hum we return to Vela Luka and continue to the Vela Špilja Cave, one of the most important archaeological prehistoric localities in Europe. Entrance into the cave is 1-10m wide, 4m high, facing the south with the wonderful view to the bay and the islets. Return to the port and overnight in Vela Luka. (B, L)

Day 6
Vela Luka - Sveta Nedilja - Sveti Nikola - Stari Grad

Breakfast and cruise to the longest Croatian island - Hvar. Arrival to Sveta Nedilja village, disembark from the ship and start of hiking tour to Sveti Nikola (628m), the highest peak of the island. Ascend by road and then macadam path through the numerous vineyards. There is a cross at the edge of the cliff and the neighbouring Chapel of Saint Nicholas after which the name of the peak comes from. Descend to the other side of the island by less steep path, towards Stari Grad. We go through Stari Grad Plain - well preserved ancient land division which dates from Greek times, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is a system of paths and plots. Dinner onboard and overnight in the harbour of Stari Grad. (B, D)

Day 7
Stari Grad - Bol - Vidova Gora - Bol - Split

Last active day in the week we start with sailing from Stari Grad to Bol with the goal of conquering the highest peak of all Adriatic islands - Vidova Gora (780m). Breakfast during sail. We start our hike tour in Bol. Paved road through the place and then the attractive built hiking path to the plateau of Vidova Gora. Arrival to the top with the stunning view of neighbouring islands of Hvar, Vis, Korčula, Pelješac Peninsula but also towards the world famous beach, Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn). After some time for relaxing, descend the same way back to Bol, boarding the ship and cruise towards Split during lunch. Free afternoon for exploring the town of Diocletian. Overnight in Split. Captain reserves the right to change the route in case of bad weather conditions, crowding or other circumstances out of his control. Departures are guaranteed for minimum 10 participants. Cruise Operator reserves the right to cancel or change the ship name if necessary. Guests are obliged to follow ship rules (found in written form onboard). Guests are not permitted to bring beverages onboard the vessel that have been purchased onshore. All drinks must be purchased onboard. In the event of inappropriate behaviour the Cruise Operator and Captain reserves the right to disembark guests. Most arrival times in port are in the late afternoon.

Port taxes, entrance fees, sightseeing and excursions (if not included in the package) must be paid in local currency upon arrival. EUR currency quoted is converted on the spot to the equivalent in Croatian Kuna.

Due to specific mooring conditions and requirements in some Croatian Ports, ships are moored side by side. This makes it necessary to cross from one ship to the other where there are gaps in between each ship. Special care must be taken at all times when crossing between the vessels and guests do this at their own risk. Crew assistance will be given to those needing and requesting it. Cruises are not recommended for those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.

Swimming Breaks
In good weather and depending on timings there will be regular stops for swimming while the ship anchors in secluded bays approximately 20-30 metres from the beach or after the hike and before departure to the next island.

Hiking Route
The length of the daily hiking routes is estimated and relies on latest local information. This depends on various detours or shortcuts that can be made enroute. Sailing and hiking routes may be changed on the spot due to weather conditions and ability of the respective hikers onboard. Departure depends on the programme. Participants agree to abide by the decisions and instructions given by the guide who reserves the right in changing the itinerary according to weather and other conditions.

Food Onboard
Continental breakfast, lunch or packed lunch (depending on the daily programme) and dinner onboard. During hiking routes we will recommend stops at local restaurants where you can sample the local specialties. These meals are not included in the price of the trip and are paid by the customers.
