Croatia is simply beautiful, a land of stunning islands, rich history, Mediterranean vegetation and mild climate. Without a doubt, the best way to explore it is by bike. The guided cycling on this cruise in Dalmatia starts in Rogoznica and ends in Primošten. During your cruise, you will explore glorious coastlines, old villages and picturesque bays. Highlights include great beaches, vineyards, pine forests and cycling across the historic islands.

Day by day Itinerary

Day 1
Split - Rogoznica - Primošten

Arrival to Split and check in by 1300HRS. Departure from Split towards Rogoznica followed by lunch and meeting fellow passengers. Rogoznica is a small peaceful place with beautiful beaches encircled by karst terrain (limestone). Cycling by the coast road to Zmajevo Oko (Dragon’s Eye) and further through the olive groves and vineyards towards Šarić Courts. Descend to Primošten with overnight. (L)

Day 2
Primošten - Vodice - Tribunj - Tisno - Murter - Sali - Telašćica - Sali

Early morning cruise towards Vodice, one of the most touristic places in Dalmatia, full of bike routes. Cycle to Tribunj, a picturesque dalmatian town whose historical centre is well known for donkey racing. Further to Tisno, a place situated on the Island of Murter which is connected with mainland by a bridge. Ride along the sea and the pine forests to the town of Murter. Lunch onboard and cruise to Dugi Otok. In the afternoon, we will visit the Telašćica Nature Park, on a pleasant ride from Sali to Telašćica and back. Optional Captain's Dinner onboard with an overnight in Sali. (B, L)

Day 3
Sali - Brbinj - Zadar

After breakfast, we leave the little fishing village of Sali and start cycling the main island road to the northern part of the Island of Dugi Otok. Dugi Otok is a true example of a place where these two opposites are most evident, picturesque villages and secluded beaches collide with majestic cliffs and lush vegetation. This makes the ride unique. After arrival to Brbinj, we have lunch onboard while cruising to Zadar - the city of 3,000 years of rich history and cultural heritage. Free afternoon to explore the city on your own. Overnight in Zadar. (B, L)

Day 4
Zadar - Preko - Kali - Kukljica - Tkon - Vodice

The route runs through two islands. After breakfast, cruise from Zadar to Ugljan - the sunniest island in Zadar archipelago. The route starts in Preko - the biggest place on the island and leads along the coastline to Kali and then to Kukljica. The islands of Ugljan and Pašman are connected by a bridge. Pašman is the island without frontiers, the island of joy and happiness, of little people with big hearts. Coming to Tkon where the ship waits, we sail towards Vodice with the great view of the pearls of Kornati Islands. Overnight in Vodice. (B, L)

Day 5
Vodice - Skradin - Krka - Šibenik

Early morning cruise towards Šibenik with a panoramic view of the royal city as well as the fortress of St Nicholas from 16th century. The flow of the river provides a unique sail experience towards Skradin, which lies at the point where the Krka River plunges into the Adriatic Sea. Enjoy a cycling tour to Krka Waterfalls National Park (entrance fee approx EUR10-20 per person), which covers an area of more than 14,000 acres on the central and lower part of the Krka River, whose seven waterfalls will leave you breathless. Particularly spectacular are Roški Slap and Skradinski Buk waterfalls. After relaxing, we continue to Šibenik for a free afternoon of sightseeing of the oldest Croatian native city on the Adriatic. Dinner onboard and overnight in Šibenik. (B, D)

Day 6
Šibenik - Mala Solina - Šibenik - Trogir

After breakfast, bike towards the Fortress of St Nicholas which is located at the entrance of the St Anthony Channel and was built in the middle of the 16th century as defence from Turkish attacks from the sea. Riding along the coast path with the beautiful views of the royal city of Šibenik. Visiting the fortress which has recently been listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. We continue to two small saltwater lakes, Vela and Mala Solina used for salt production. Passing by tourist village of Solaris and swimming stop on one of the beaches. Return to Šibenik, lunch onboard and cruise towards Trogir, the real Dalmatian pearl with the best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic Old Town. Overnight in Trogir. (B, L)

Day 7
Trogir - Čiovo - Slatine - Trogir - Split

After breakfast, we start cycling the last island of the cruise - Čiovo. First part by the coast until Slatine is flat, followed by ascending to the Church of Our Lady of Prizidnica which dates from 1546, situated between steep cliffs just above the sea, on the southeast side of the island. Descend back to Slatine and ascend to the highest point of the island with the unique view of Split, Kaštela and neighbouring mountains. Return to Trogir to have lunch onboard during the sail to Split. Free afternoon for an optional Split walking tour. Overnight in Split. (B, L)

Captain reserves the right to change the route in case of bad weather conditions, crowding or other circumstances out of his control. Departures are guaranteed for minimum 10 participants. Cruise Operator reserves the right to cancel or change the ship name if necessary. Guests are obliged to follow ship rules (found in written form onboard). Guests are not permitted to bring beverages onboard the vessel that have been purchased onshore. All drinks must be purchased onboard. In the event of inappropriate behaviour the Cruise Operator and Captain reserves the right to disembark guests. Most arrival times in port are in the late afternoon.

Port taxes, entrance fees, sightseeing and excursions (if not included in the package) must be paid in local currency upon arrival. EUR currency quoted is converted on the spot to the equivalent in Croatian Kuna.

Disclaimer
Due to specific mooring conditions and requirements in some Croatian Ports, ships are moored side by side. This makes it necessary to cross from one ship to the other where there are gaps in between each ship. Special care must be taken at all times when crossing between the vessels and guests do this at their own risk. Crew assistance will be given to those needing and requesting it. Cruises are not recommended for those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.

Swimming Breaks
In good weather and depending on timings we will have regular swim stops while the vessel anchors in secluded bays or after the cycling before departure to the next island.

Cycling Route
The length of the daily cycling routes is estimated and is based on local information and depends on various detours or shortcuts that can be done enroute. Cruising and cycling routes may be changed on the spot due to weather conditions and ability of the respective cyclists onboard. Departures are during morning hours, mostly after breakfast. If taking part in biking activities, each individual is responsible for him/herself and agrees to abide to the decisions and instructions given by the guide who reserves the right in changing the itinerary according to weather conditions and group’s abilities.

Food Onboard
Continental breakfast and either lunch or dinner. During cycling routes, we recommend stops at local restaurants where you can sample the local specialties. These meals are not included in the price of the trip and are paid by the client on the spot. There is a possibility to book a Captain's Dinner, which is paid directly on the spot and is offered by the Captain.
