The proud MS Andela Lora (2012) is your home for an amazing week. Tenderly decorated roomy cabins, bathrooms with separate shower, a comfortable Sun Deck as well as a stylish salon await your visit. Guarded by the towering Velebit mountain range in the east and hugged by the Istria Peninsula in the northwest lie the Kvarner Bay islands. Quiet coves of crystal-clear water surround the dramatic landscapes of the islands - green hills and rocky moonlike landscapes give way to small harbour towns rich in history and culture. Discover the charm of the Adriatic Sea for yourself by bike and boat onboard one of our small ships. The day begins with a well-rounded breakfast leaving you fit to explore the diversity of the Kvarner Bay islands on a guided bike tour. Be it the medieval town of Rab, the car-free "Road in the Sky” on Dugi Otok or the contemplative life of the dwellers on the flower Island of Molat, each day brings with it new discoveries. Evenings are mostly spent in picturesque harbour towns with winding alleyways where a great range of bars and cafes stand host for a relaxing evening.

Day by day Itinerary

Day 1
Omišalj - Cres

Individual arrival in Omišalj, a nice little harbour village on the Island of Krk. Check-in on the motor ship between 1400-1430HRS. At approx 1500HRS the ship takes us to the Island of Cres in approx four hours. On Cres, we take a walk through the Venetian old town in the evening.

Day 2
Cres - Martinšćica - Mali Lošinj

After breakfast we start our tour from the town of Cres to Martinšćica. The ship awaits your arrival and lunch is served during the cruise to the Island of Lošinj. If the weather is good, the captain will arrange a swim stop along the way before tying off in the harbour wellness town of Mali Lošinj. The harbour with its colourful facades and numerous cafes offers its visitors a welcoming atmosphere for a relaxed evening.

Cycle route approx 28km

Day 3
Mali Lošinj - Veli Lošinj - Molat

We cycle along the seaside promenade to the south of Lošinj and visit the picturesque small harbour town of Veli Lošinj before we meet the ship for lunch. In the afternoon we cross over to the Island of Molat where we can do another short cycling tour. Finally, we stay overnight in a quiet harbour of Molat Island.

Cycle route approx 20km + 10km

Day 4
Molat - Božava - Sali - Zadar

During breakfast, the ship leaves Molat and takes us past many small islands to the "Spice Island" of Dugi Otok. Our cycle tour starts in the Bay of Božava which is surrounded by pine forest, agaves and tamarisk trees. We ride on a road almost free of traffic. Our ride along the island’s “Road in the Sky” takes us to Sali, where the ship awaits us for a cruise to Zadar, which, for centuries, was the political, cultural and spiritual centre of Dalmatia. 3,000 years of history have left their imprint on the character of this city and there are many things to be admired - the mighty fortified walls with their bastions, the loggia but also the early Romanesque St Donatus Basilica. In the evening, our tour guide takes us on an extensive walk through the lively city centre.

Cycle route approx 42km

Day 5
Zadar - Novalja - Lun - Rab

After a long crossing in the morning we reach the Island of Pag. In the harsh but delightful landscape of the island, we come across many fig and olive trees. Over the centuries the inhabitants have built numerous stone walls for protection against the wind. Starting from Novalja we cycle on the narrow peninsula until we reach the sea from where the ship takes us to Rab. The Island of Rab is one of the sunniest places in Europe. The town of Rab, the fortified capital of the island, was built in the Middle Ages on a wedge-shaped headland and marks one of the highlights of the trip. The four famous bell towers are the symbol of the adorned beauty of the town. After dinner we can explore the narrow alleys with numerous cosy cafes.

Cycle route approx 20km

Day 6
Rab - Jablanac - Krk

Get to know the charming Rab on a lovely ride around the island. At lunchtime, the ship awaits us in the harbour directly in front of the old town of Rab. We cruise to Jablanac near the picturesque Zavratnica fjord. Later, the ship takes us over to the neighbouring Island of Krk where we spend the evening in the historical town of Krk.

Cycle route approx 25km

Day 7
Krk - Vrbnik - Omišalj

We cycle over the ridge of the island which is covered by fragrant macchia to a valley of vineyards and then onwards to the small museum town of Vrbnik in the northeast. The town built on a 50-metre-high cliff and surrounded by vineyards is the home of the famous white wine Žlahtina. Another peculiarity that Vrbnik has to offer is the second narrowest alley in the world. The way leads us across the island through old villages and rich vegetation to Omišalj. On our way we have a chance to swim in the Bay of Soline. A cheerful evening meal onboard the ship gives you time to celebrate the success of the week with fellow travellers and tour guides.

E-Bike Level 1 / Hybrid Bike Level 2-3
Cycle tours fit for both: hybrid and e-bikers. You have to decide beforehand, which bicycle you like to rent. You are free to set aside a half or full day to swim or to spend time onboard the ship, instead of taking a planned cycle tour.

Requirements for hybrid bikers (Level 2-3)
The cycle tours require at least basic level of fitness from participants, which they should have acquired from steady cycling. The tours will take us up to a height of 200-650m above sea level. The day tours from 20-60km will take us through hilly and mountainous terrain and will be completed without any time constraints. Participants will also need to master long and steep climbs, during which they are, however, also permitted to push their bicycles. We traverse mostly asphalted roads, which are rarely frequented outside the holiday seasons.

Requirements for e-bikers (Level 1)
E-bike tours are suitable for those with a good basic level of fitness. The tours and the elevation metres are very manageable with an e-bike (30-60km and 400-700m elevation per day).

Guided group pace
On e-bike tour programmes, the riding pace is determined by the cyclists on e-bikes. Guests who are taking part on these tours on a regular bicycle should have the necessary physical condition to keep up with this pace. Thank you for your understanding.

Helmet Requirement
Helmet use is mandatory on all cycle tours. You are strongly encouraged to bring your own (well-fitted) helmet.

Hybrid Bicycles or similar (Included)
Basic bicycles with trapeze or diamond frame that are available in four frame sizes. Trapeze frame in 46cm and 52cm or diamond frame with top tube in 56cm and 60cm. All bicycles are equipped with a precise Shimano gear shift, Shimano V-brakes with strong “bite”, 71cm hollow chamber rims with quick clamps, safety mudguards and a comfortable touring saddle of Selle Royal. The rental bikes are only available for participants that are taller than 150cm. In order to supply you with the bicycle that fits you, we need to know how tall you are.

Panniers (Included)
For the duration of the cruise you will be supplied with a waterproof pannier by Ortlieb, a practical way of carrying drinks, bathing gear, camera etc. The use of panniers is free of charge. To ensure that bike panniers remain waterproof they have to be closed tight. Although panniers are manufactured from waterproof material we cannot be held liable for any damage that might be caused to any personal belongings like mobile phones, cameras etc.

E-Bikes Cube Cross Hybrid Pro Allroad 500 or similar (Upgrade Available On Request)
Cycle hassle-free and climb mountains without difficulty, enjoy nature and landscapes unlimited. Electronic bikes will make it possible. They are the declaration of independence for everybody who enjoys activity. E-bikes are characterized by their light weight (20kg without the battery installed) and their ability to ride in varying terrain. This model is fitted with a performance motor, the most advanced e-bike motor on the market. The range of the 500WH battery is noticeably better than that of the previous model, Delhi Hybrid Pro 400. The 9 gears are perfectly in tune with the motor and are easy to operate. Trapeze frame is available for all participants up to 179cm tall, and a diamond frame for participants 180cm+ tall.

Itinerary Changes
Cruise operator reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary, depending on wind and weather conditions or organisational requirements. Sometimes the cruise could be operated in reverse order.

We believe that only children in a good physical condition and with a minimum age of 10, with previous bicycle tour experience are able to master the cycle tours on their own strength. Please note that the minimum height for a rental bike is 1.20m and 1.50m for an e-bike. There is a helmet duty for all children up to age 16 in Croatia.

The onboard chef is a member of the crew and prepares the breakfast and one or two warm meals a day. The catering consists of 4 x Full Board and 3 x Half Board. Catering starts with the dinner on the arrival day and ends with the breakfast on the departure day.

Cruise and cycle tours are conducted bilingually (English, German).

Minimum 14 / Maximum 36+

Due to specific mooring conditions and requirements in some Croatian Ports, ships are moored side by side. This makes it necessary to cross from one ship to the other where there are gaps in between each ship. Special care must be taken at all times when crossing between the vessels and guests do this at their own risk. Crew assistance will be given to those needing and requesting it. Cruises are not recommended for those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.
